Zephyrus Three is Thorne’s home planet, known for its people’s beauty. It’s home of the Draxus family and their shipping company, Draxus Goods, which operated for five generations before being lost to Nexus Trading.
William Sallerist infiltrated the business through a smuggling ring; Thorne’s mother framed both Thorne and Sallerist, but Sallerist pinned everything on Thorne. Nexus Trading, owned by Prometheon Technologies, in turn owned by Virodyne Labs, took control of the business.
Thorne’s need for his mother’s approval was well known on Zephyrus Three. She was the dominant force in local commerce, and there wasn’t a deal made on the planet that didn’t cross her desk. Thorne wanted to live up to her name while making one of his own, and he imagined a future where she would retire and pass control of Draxus Goods to him. That handoff never came. He pushed harder instead, chasing larger deals and new avenues of business in hopes of proving himself worthy of the company his mother had built.
