Project Red Wing (also referred to on-air as Operation Red Wing) is a covert Omnitek Holdings program uncovered by Felix Champlin and his brother during a heist on Omnitek’s orbital data vault above Polyphn (Episode 9). Omnitek buys prisoner contracts at double the going rate, then converts the prisoners’ consciousness into AI test subjects, a process that kills the original body, before running the resulting AIs through nightmare simulations.
In Episode 32, the crew cut open a desk safe in Saren’s own office aboard Prometheon Station and found a data chip. Plugging it into the office terminal brought up thousands of files, all relating directly to Project Red Wing. The crew hasn’t yet had the chance to go through it.
