WK9078 is a two-story concrete radio station on Wafisa with a large radio antenna array on the roof. An obnoxious yellow sign above the front door reads “WK9078,” and faded spray paint above it reads “The Voice of the Wastes.” A small parking garage attached to the side is filled with abandoned cars.
It’s the home and broadcast base of Reginald “Froggy” Vance, who took over as DJ as a child after the fall of Waa and has been trying to get the station running for fifteen years. The ground floor holds a lobby with band and concert posters and a DJ booth behind bulletproof glass; the second floor has a kitchen, bathroom, and waiting area; the roof holds the antenna, reached by a ladder through a roof hatch; and the basement holds a generator, fuel cells, and electrical panels.
The crew found the station while exploring Wafisa and met Froggy, who had been alone for years broadcasting to no one (Ep 6). Felix assessed that repairing the radio tower would take two full days; the actual repair happened off-screen between episodes.
