Victor Saren is the CEO of Omnitek Holdings. Felix Champlin encountered him in the flashback recounting his origin in Episode 9, “Brother’s Keeper: Felix’s Story,” when Felix, his brother Petey Champlin, and the rest of their crew (Nyx Verhoeven and Jett Harlow) broke into Omnitek’s orbital data vault above Polyphn. Saren confronted them there, deploying a set of telescopic restraint arms to defend the vault.
The vault held evidence of Operation Red Wing, an Omnitek program that purchased prisoners and used them as test subjects for digitizing human consciousness. During the heist, Petey’s own consciousness was captured and trapped within Omnitek’s servers. Felix escaped, but was forced to burn his old identity, change his name, and later infiltrate Omnitek itself hoping to find a way to rescue his brother. Killing Victor Saren has been one of Felix’s core, driving motivations ever since.
