Blackharbor is a coastal settlement on Wafisa, north of the megacity, struggling under the rule of the Guardians of the Great Work. It’s home to fisherfolk, scavengers, and farmers living in squalor while the military extracts wealth and resources to fund their impossible “Great Work.”
Outside Blackharbor’s walls lie fields of purple flowers, grown as an industry and shipped off-world for narcotics and medication, alongside a thriving seaside fishing community. Haleyy set the fields on fire in Ep 7 as a distraction during the crew’s escape.
The settlement is divided into districts: the fishing quarter of The Docks, the open-air The Great Market, the scavenging grounds of The Rust Yards, the ranches and greenhouses of The Outer Farms, the fortress of The Guardian Compound, and The Military Airfield, where The Scapegoat was held after being confiscated.
The crew’s ship was held at the Military Airfield until they reclaimed it, with Viktor Strake sending soldiers to trace them there (Ep 7).
