The Viridian Expanse is dominated by a handful of interlocking mega-corporations, alongside independent operators, military powers, gangs, and cults that the crew of The Scapegoat has encountered in the course of their travels.
Corporate Hierarchy
Virodyne Labs sits atop a hidden corporate empire, secretly controlling Prometheon Technologies (dark energy and antimatter research, which in turn controls Nexus Trading) and Omnitek Holdings (planetary mining and prisoner-contract labor). Neither subsidiary publicly advertises its connection to Virodyne.

- Auctioneers Guild: neutral asset auctions, based on Sibylen
- Novacrypt: newly arrived, claimed Prometheon Station and its system at the end of Season 1

- The Listeners: gas-masked Void Cultist faction that ran Prometheon Station under Sabien until the time loop’s end (Ep 33)

- Scapegoat Solutions LLC: the legal business entity founded by Thorne to give the crew standing in a corporation-dominated sector
