Robert Ross is the pilot aboard The Scapegoat, played by Doja. He has an afro, loves chaos, and often creates more problems through his “helping” than he solves. Even he was surprised when he chose to stay with the crew instead of running, coming to see them as family.
True Identity
Robert is clone RR7, part of an experimental squadron created by Virodyne Labs through Omnitek Holdings at a cloning facility in the Omnitek-controlled section of Polyphn. Lab-grown and brought to full size within months, he was equipped and trained for combat before the clone program was scrapped following the disaster on Ventos. Clones like Robert have unique memories implanted at random during creation: everything in his life before his first real mission, including his backstory about being scammed out of his savings, was randomly generated content that coalesced into the personality he now has.
Strike Force 6
Robert’s squad was delivered to Vigrid for training, where Haley (with one Y) was assigned as squad leader and Robert became her second-in-command. Sent with the rest of Strike Force 6 to Ventos during the Red Rice Wars, the squad located an alien structure containing a fork inside a cave system while rescuing Haley from captivity. Haley was struck by the fork’s energy, and one squadmate died during the escape. Fleeing on stolen motorcycles, the squad called for extraction. An anti-air mech shot their helicopter out of the sky, killing two more squadmates. Robert found Haley mortally wounded and applied Lazarus patch after Lazarus patch trying to save her, only to realize she had already been dead for minutes. He was later assigned to watch over the amnesiac “Haleyy” who woke in her place, and has carried the truth of who she really is ever since.
Gear
Robert fights with a combat rifle and a laser pistol, keeps a brass-knuckle knife hidden in his boot, and wears Woven Body Armor. He has a bionic eye purchased at great cost from Nexus Trading, and collects Lokipon Cards despite being a poor player.
